Tim Shriver on Bill Maher's Show
I know that this blog seems like a Tim Shriver fan club lately, (maybe it is) but I'll be darned if I could pass up posting this interview. Thank you Tim for taking this man to school and for working so hard to spread the word despite being met with such arrogance and adversity.

I love that Tim Shriver took on Bill Maher. Tim's arguments were well made. What I wonder about is when he talked about the perception that unfortunately many have about people with intellectual disabilities – something like they can just pat them on the head and treat them like happy little children. Don’t the concept and practices of Special Olympics help to promote that perception? It was well intended when created, but now I fear that it continues a misguided stereotype.
