WOW! Way better footage than all the local news chanel's kwwl, kcrg, fox, and kgan ETC. has had!!!(Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids IA, and surrounding areas). My heart, thoughts, and continued prayers go out to ALL victims of the flooding! Waterloo, IA was truly one of the lucky ones. Blessings Liz Poyner
Pictures take your breath away, but it is nothing like the real thing. It was less than a mile from my house on the NW side - on the other side of Ellis. We were fortunate and grateful that nothing happened to our home. We helped, cleaned out closets for the less fortunate, did flood clean up, baked John's boss PB rice krispies when her kitchen was flooded and she couldn't use it, you name it. I think it will flood again this year with as much snow we have had this year. We have been pounded. I love your blog Jenny. Your family is beautiful and it is nice to see that you are doing so well.
for new parents of a child with Down syndrome ..."There’s so much to consider! About learning how to manage prejudice, and about what to say and when to say it, and about how to juggle schedules and therapies and all that. There’s forgiveness, for all of us, and strength, and love, and hope, too. And faith, in yourself, and your child. Let your child show you the way. You will find it, together, and it will be amazing. It will be all the things you hoped it would be; it’s all there, waiting for you."
